    OK- im pissed! Asus just announce the Nforce 2 MB wiht support for the 400 fsb- bu the other manufacturers are giving out bios updates that will let you run the new 400 bartons- ***? Asus sucks! I just bought this damn a7n8x deluxe thing! :

    That just isn't accurate. nVidia came out with a new revision of the chipset to support the 200MHz FSB because previous revisions weren't always stable at that speed.

    Really? (in Beavis voice) oh, ok, sorry about that- but wait! Why are other manufacturers releasing bios updates for their nforce2 mobos that support the 200 fsb?

    You will need a BIOS update to properly recognize the chip and display it properly during bootup. However, a BIOS update cannot address limitations of the earlier chip revisions which may not properly support stable operation at a 200MHz FSB. Asus, Epox, Soltek, and Abit have different revisions with the proper version of the chip, now being called the nForce2 400 (Ultra).

    The Asus a7n8x Deluxe Revision 2.0 boards supports 400 fsb.

    You should've done your research before you purchased.
