Post New system for New System builder

Hey all, I am about to order this system from NewEgg to build a system (I have never built a system before) -- Does anyone see any problems, have any advice, or know any voodoo magic that will help? Also does anyone know what cables ect I will need? Thanks a million:
*CHENBRO ROC Series PC60211 Mid Tower Case300 Watts
*Enermax Thermal Control 8CM cooling fan
    *EPOX EP-8KHA+ V
    *GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GEFORCE2 Ti450, 64MB (NO TV-OUT) DDR 4.5ns
*AMD 1600+/266 FSB Athlon XP P
    *CRUCIAL MICRON 256MB 32x64 PC2100
    *MITSUMI D359M3 FDD
    *IBM EIDE HARD DRIVE 60GB 7200RPM MODEL # IC35L060AVER07
    *Zoom 56k V.92 PCI Modem V
    *LITE-ON LTR-24102B-01 24x10x40
*CREATIVE LABS SB AUDIGY WITH 1390
*Arctic Silver's Premium Silver Thermal *Compound Thermal Paste
*Cooler Master EP5-6i11 AMD Socket A Processor Heatsink and Fan

Also -- If I am not going to overclock, is the retail box fan and heatsink that comes with a XP processor alright? (If I get the retail processor)

    Thanks again -- Jake

    Big Jake

    Hi Jake
I am also in the process of building a new PC - my first venture too!
This is what I settled down for:
    AMD Thunderbird 1.4Ghz 266FSM
    256MB PC2100 DDRRAM
    Gigabyte GA-7DXR Mobo
    Coolermaster DP5 6I31C HSF
    WD Caviar 40Gb 7200rpm HDD
    Enermax 350W PSU
    SB Audigy Player
    Gainward GeForce2 MX400 64Mb Graphics card
    Extra case fan
I am using my old ATX case and CDRW

The only thing that I'd advice is to get a 350W PSU.
Also it would be better if the PSU had an internal intake fan underneath it (above the processor) and an external exhaust fan.
Also add in a second case fan below the PSU.
Other than that it sounds great to me.

Also try rounded IDE cables: it doesn't improve performance, but reduces clutter. http://www.techtv.com/print/story/0,...305685,00.html http://www.overclockercafe.com/Revie...les%20pg2.html
Check if the CDRW has some sort of buffer underrun protection.
    All the best
    Gruffy
