Man, it's too bad I can't donate my team's 9600 points to the Sharky team. Anyway, I'll probably donate one rig to the new club.

Nice picture on the team page, did you put that up Saps?
Yes, it was a two minute cut and paste job with a little MSPaint for the Text. By all means if someone comes up with a better logo send it to me.

Some totally un-scientific observations over a three day period.
AMD XP chips fold faster than similar P4 chips
The 638 series projects take forever but really bump your score when turned in.
AD Domain controllers never use more than 50% of the CPU for folding
DNS servers really suck for folding, but it does not seem to adversely affect resolution times.
Dual processor systems are the best (0 + 1) By setting the client to run on the 1 processor, 100% utilizations occurs 100% of the time. More or less.
Xeons are faster than higher rated XP chips
On almost identical systems, 2K advanced server seems to be much faster than NT server. Still need a little more data on this though.
Thermo what's the difference between WU's which are 500 and those which are 2500. I'm already on my second 2500 but I must say it almost appears as if I didn't get the credit for my first 2500 WU. All my 500's seem to give around 30-35 score points. And yes that the rate we're growing we'll probably crack the top 2000 within a week. Of course my understanding is many folding team have folded

I think the huge units are from the genome group; at least the projects are not listed with the protein folding projects. There is a selection in the properties box to specify protein folding only. I’m not sure how much credit you get from them, but they seem to take an eternity to complete.

No kidding! My 2GHz Celery laptop has taken 2 full days to get to 57% (230/400) on a 638 series. Whereas my P3 800 has taken only 1 full day to get to 1250/2500.
Although, I'm sure cache has a bit to do with it.
I'll have a 2000+ XP and a 2.4C into the fray in a few days.
heh, I never thought I could have so much fun trying to use my computers as little as possible...

O` Well, I`m chugging along at 12x200 and well contribute what I can. Is there any settings I can optimize to get better performance.

Well the team moved up about 500 places yesterday! If we could find 5 more members, then we would be rolling.
