Reset CMOS on an A7N8X-E Deluxe

I overclocked my memory too far, and of course, it will not boot. I tried to reset the CMOS by removing the battery and moving the jumper, but it didn't reset. In fact, I left the battery out for an hour and it didn't reset I just figured out that I can move the jumer from 266 and up FSB to the 200 FSB jumper, though I haven't yet. But I would stil like to know if there is another way to reset the CMOS in the NForce2 chipset.

Try it again, and unplug the power cord, too.

Also, some boards have a soft key for clearing the CMOS (try holding down the INSERT key when powering up).

You moved the wrong jumper, i can't remember if it's the jumper right below the battery, or right to the right of the battery, but one of those is it. Try looking at the manual for it, and if you can't find that than just go to the Asus site. One of those jumpers resets CMOS.

No, I moved the right jumper and unplugged the power. Tried several times. I have left the battery out all night. This evening I will see if it is reset. I have read somewhere before that there is an issue with NForce chipset and resetting CMOS, though I don't see where that makes a difference; no power should equal a rest CMOS.
