View Poll Results: What MHz fsb will I get with 2x512mb tccd at T1 2.5-3-3-7 reguarding ondie controller

I hate to say this but Tbird, you probably wont even get 200fsb
-
I dont have much hope for you after hearing the fact you could barely get 200fsb with corsair value
-
My guess is you will be peeved when 236fsb is not quite stable
-
I will recon 236fsb is a reasonable MHz to shoot for reguarding ondie controller
-
I place my bets you will hit ddr500 clocks, after all, isnt this average
-
You will have a bit of luck and hit ddr533 clocks, run 266x9=2.4GHz 1:1
-
I believe in luck and youll have some getting 275fsb!
-
Call me skeptic but something tells me youll hit 280fsb!
-
Strike yourself lucky! 290fsb at 1:1 is my noble guess!
-
What is "TCCD" or my guess is none of the above(please post why)

What kind of luck do you think ill have with 2x512mb patriot xbl tccd
What kind of luck do you think ill have with 2x512mb patriot xbl tccd?
Keep in mind I will run command rate of T1, dual channel and 2.5-3-3-7 timings with two 512mb sticks dual channel on my 3000+ winchster at 290x9=2.6GHz. My guess is I will hit ddr500 clocks so this means 250x9=2.25GHz but I will get much better performance running the tccd async using 166 divider so at 290fsb the ram will run at 236MHz. The problem is rarely the ram, but rather the ondie controller limits you long before the ram. I am just speculating now, for all I know I might just get lucky and I hope so, but if it doesnt handle at least 236MHz, that winchester is sooooooo gone, being ebayed and ill buy another 3000+ or even 3200+ and try my luck again.
edit: the ram is patriot XBL to remind you again, this stuff uses brainpower PCB so I am going to assume whatever fsb I get will be limited by the ondie controller. Fed-ex says my ram will be here thursday afternoon, this is less than 48 hours if they arent exaggerating, I find it hard to believe since Newegg shipped on the 10th and fed-ex says ill get it on the 13th and its "express saver" My guess is itll take 7-10 business days to reach me

There is the theory of the moebius. A twist in the fabric of space where time becomes a loop.

i think your controller and RAM would have to be extra-crappy to not get at least 250, so i'm voting for 266.

lol, I voted the same, for the same reasons, before I read your post.
And I hate to say it, but all the finger pointing to mem-controllers is a bit overdone I think. I've found the mobo and the mem of course have just as much to do with any issues as the on-die controller does. Not saying the controller can't give problems, but it is all part of a system. I've moved my cpu and mems around to several boards now and get something different every time.

r u still looking for verification
on the TCCD?, dragging this switch over to TCCD out even longer? i see you have some on the way (AMDMB.com) you have been involved with numerous threads regarding TCCD stuffs, posted hundreds of times regarding it yourself. still need verification????
as far as what you will get for clockage on the HTT, how about you tell us when you get the stuff.............
"express saver" means three days max usually, less if you live closer to NJ or Cali.

Yeah, the first couple of options alone are amusing...if the ram doesn't even run at stock then there's something seriously wrong there.

news update, I got my ram like an hour ago! I am here for lunch but I have to return to class but when class is over I will test out the ram. I am totally supprised it arrived more than a day early too! So it did fly on one of those huge fed-ex jets! You have a few more hours to "predict" what I will hit. By the way I looked at the label and it says ddr400 at 2-2-2-5 and ddr533 at 3-4-4-8 ouch bad timings. Well I gotta head back now, sorry to cut it short
-
MakoSharkero
uh,
'says ddr400 at 2-2-2-5 and ddr533 at 3-4-4-8 ouch bad timings.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
get used to it on the looser timings for the high FSB, it is much the same through all the TCCD stuffs. the big advantage is you don't have to through 3.6 vdimm or sumtin like that to get the clockage.
but, you don't have to run the 3,4,4,8 for DDR 533 (266 effective)and beyond, when you get to testing you will find out soon enough what is.
hopefully this stuff works out for you.

just because they rate it at 3-4-4-8 for 266 doesn't man it won't do it at 2.5-3-3...

hmm
appears that mem controller limitation your CPU was supposed to have, err, had with the other ramski..............................
getting you on the bandwagon is worse than sqeezing water from a rock.
now you have options.

Nice to see you get more than you hoped for out of those. Congrats.

I would hold the party, that 266fsb looks to have been a 1 time deal, now if I try even 250fsb it reports the amount of ram I have incorrectly such as 4096kb or some other low number then locks up. I tried 222fsb and it was fine. I am at 200fsb now and in windows. Guess I am gonna have to play around more, will try a divider now and see where I go. I had feared this ondie controller sucked and I might be right

what? that just doesn't make any sense. clear your cmos and reset all the timings and speeds manually.
