My Asus A8N-E northbridge fan died...what should I do?

I have emialed asus, but most likely they won't send me a new fan let alone a new motherboard which pisses me off b/c the fan only lasted a month and a half. Is it safe to use my comp without the fan running at all? What other fans or just passive heatsinks could I install for cheap?

Actually, I think Asus will send you a replacement heatsink fan.
