    Exclamation Dead Toshiba Motherboard

    I am looking for a motherboard for a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S309. On the motherboard below and to the right of the chipset it says:

    EAL20 LA-2461 Rev:2.0
    Made In CHINA
    2004-11-17
    Vendor: GCE

    It has a 1.4ghz intel centrino.

    I need to identify so I can purchase a new one.
    AMD64 4000+
    DFI Lanparty NF-4 Ultra
    1gb Corsair XMS PC3200
    Evga Geforce 6600 256mb
    80gb WD SATA x2 160gb Seagate SATA Archive drive
    17inch LCD Monitor
    XP Pro

    MacBook 13inch
    1.83 CoreDuo
    1gb DDR2 667
    80gb SATA
    OS X 10.4.8

    Have you tried Toshiba's website and do a search under parts? You can also try notebookforums.com for help.

    Yeah I had a similar problem and I was quoted $300 to $600 depending on the model. To OP at $400 I would rather buy a new laptop like a Core Duo from Dell, HP etc. and sell the Toshiba for spare parts. Also installation would cost you an extra $75 to $150 if you pay someone to do it. If you decide to do it yourself it can be a pain dealing with all the screws etc when taking it apart. There have been recent deals with HP, Dell etc between $400 to $800 for Core Duo laptops.

    about the M35X series...

    i can fix any M35X motherboard. i charge 60 bucks. call me up 805-732-3996

    If it cant be fixed though, consider ebay for new/used parts far cheaper than any website ....

    Over time ive built up a few contacts through ebay that i deal with externally now ....
