    mobo drivers for asus A8M2N-LA

My friend bought a hp pavilion a1540n, but reformatted it to use xp instead of media center, but since it didn't come with any recovery cd's, the ethernet port won't work. I tried searching both hp's and asus's websites to no avail. Any ideas on where to find the mobo drivers?

Ok after much fighing and searching I have reached a different wall, and perhaps an unimportant one. That list of drivers, after installing made my computer run slower and I have fewer unidentified objects in the device manager, however I still have a PCI device and an Unknown device that have no drivers. Also I discovered that if I plug in another network card into my computer the internal ethernet port works, but if I pull it out dosen't work anymore. But anyway one of those drivers (the one for sound) needs the

Microsoft's Universal Audio Architecture High Definition audio bus driver

After much searching I have found that this is a beta driver going to be used on Vista. I have found lots of specs on it but no place to download it. This also lead to another discovery I cant download the updates from Microsoft, it claimes that their are no new critical or optional updates for my computer, and I dont remember downloading all those weird language packs so I am assuming that the site just dosent like my computer.

Thanks that driver allowed my Ethernet port to work!!! Now I can give that network card back to my friend. However I still can't find that driver to make my sound work it was the Microsoft's Universal Audio Architecture High Definition audio bus driver

I think that the Audio has separate drivers, if it is RealTek chipset, log to RealTek site and look for it.

nVidia nForce 430/410 works for HP Pavilion a1550e too!

Hey there "mrsinster", thanks for the tip!

The nForce 430/410 driver is just what I needed for Windows Server 2003 x64 on my HP Pavilion a1550e, for which HP only provides drivers for XP Media Center.

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...xp32_8.26.html

    nForce 430/410 - Windows XP/2000 32-Bit
    Version: 8.26
    Release Date: June 22, 2006

    File is named: 8.26_11.09_nforce_winxp64_english.exe

WinXP and Server 2003 drivers for HP a6130n

This same mobo is used in the HP Pavillion a1630n... here are the drivers I found:

NIC - already mentioned the nvidia 430/410 (available at nvidia.com) - btw- comes with a free little firewall that isn't too bad...

    Video - GeForce 6150 LE - http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.html

Audio - Realtek High Definition WDM driver works - here's a place I found it...
    ftp://61.56.86.122/pc/audio/WDM_R157.zip

***There is one device that is listed as Unknown.***

the details of the device are:

    ACPI\AWY0001\2&DABA3FF&0

This is the "Away Mode" which is ONLY AVAILABLE IN WindowsXP MEDIA CENTER EDITION 2005!!!
Thus... it will ALWAYS be unknown unless that OS is installed- ignore this device!

    further described at:

    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa468205.aspx

    - hopes this helps anyone looking to alleviate themselves from Media Center to regular XP or even a nice (inexpensive) little SBS 2003/ 2003 server.

*** if you did not blow out your hard drive, the recovery partition has most of the drivers- with some searching (show all hidden and system files) you can find them.

Got LAN & Audio Going, Need USB

Thanks for the postings, I got my Compaq Presario SR2027X with this motherboard and XP Pro to get the LAN and Audio working. BTW the URL for the audio changes with the version level, so start here: ftp://61.56.86.122/pc/audio/ and find the latest WDM_Rnnn.zip. I got 161.

So I really need the USB 2.0 to work for my HP printer. USB right now seems to be at 1.x. Any ideas?

    Same motherboard, other PC

I bought a "HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7650.be Desktop PC". It has the same motherboard. I killed the pre-installed french(!) windows (Media center) and installed an xp pro x64. but there are lots of drivers that I cant find.
(look at this screenshot: http://s6.bilder-hosting.de/img/XFFPT.png and this one: http://s6.bilder-hosting.de/img/XFP5G.png)

Can someone with more experience than I have tell me what of the drivers listed in this threat I should try?

PS.: The UAA driver can be found on the microsoft website. Type "Universal Audio Architecture" and "driver" in their search box and press enter.

    For the usb drivers...
    1. is there a driver CD with ur printer?
    2. Look at microsoft. i recently found there an update for USB 2.0 for my 2nd computer which needed the update.
