    is this only for bfgs? newegg has other brand 7900gs with rebates which make them like $150 cards

    Is it just a crap shoot if you get the right card? Anyway to get one for sure? I've got one sitting in my check out at newegg but not sure if I should go for it or not...I have a 6800GTOC --> Ultra so I know its a boost. But....meh.

    I guess YMMV, but even if it doesn't unlock, you can possibly overclock for performance > 7900GT. The volt mod is still applicable as well for more headroom, just be sure to apply aftermarket cooling.

    You may want to order from www.canadacomputers.com where I got mine, but that won't guarantee it either. (don't know if they ship to US)

    Unfortunately they don't have any instock, and I can't tell if they ship to the US, but I would think that they would. Wonder if I have to pay duty. The card is $185USD at newegg....hrm.

    I just got my BFG 7900GS from newegg... Just used Riva Tunner and... BOOM 24pp/8vp I Obtain 200+ Points in 3dmark05, but i want to know:

    As long as theres no visual corruption you are fine, you run no real risks. Except possibly voiding your warranty, but it would be hard for them to prove that.

    Welcome to the club! Yeah, the display adapter information is what Rivatuner is getting from the BIOS, which can mask the pipes as well as the identifying information.
