    Exclamation Fixing corrupt Firefox installation?

    Help.

Due to a sudden power failure while I was working in Firefox 2.0.0.8, when my system rebooted I am having problems with Firefox starting up and accessing the Internet again.

Is there a way I can fix this problem? I can still access the Internet with Internet Explorer 7.0 and Maxthon 2.0.4.5799 with no problems, but I do like Firefox.

The problem with reinstalling firefox is that the part of the installation that is probably corrupted doesn't actually uninstall.

Get rid of everything related to firefox with this method

the download it again (preferably from mozilla's server)
    and reinstall it

Then the Firefox directories can be manually deleted, and a registry cleaning program can be run to get firefox entries out of the registry.

    And then Re-install.
