    Activating Windows 7.

Currently running Windows 7. Fresh install last night. I still have 29 days to activate. If I drop a new processor in before I activate I should still only have to activate before the 30 days is up correct? I figured it would be dumb to activate now, then add a cpu and probably have to call up to activate again.

Uh you should be fine, even if you do activate before dropping in the CPU. When I had Vista I swapped motherboards and all I had to do was click a little reactivate button. And that was with an OEM key too.

Either way you should be fine.
