Started up The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II the other day. I don't know if the game is just naturally like this, the character I imported was badly equipped, I just don't remember how to play, or what, but this game is hard as hell even on the normal difficulty setting. I did start on the "Veteran" game mode, so the game starts at level 30, maybe that's it.

I've put about 2 hours in and I'm definitely remembering how to play a bit, and hitting level 33 opened up a lot of good new equipment that I had found, so maybe it will get easier from here on out, but the quest a little while back to destroy the ornithopter generator was torture.

I beat the single player campaign in Splatoon over the weekend. It was okay! Nothing special, but a nice fun little romp through octopus-infested space. I thought the design of the final boss (character design, not gameplay design; though the gameplay design wasn't bad) was really awesome.

I haven't touched Witcher 3 since Splatoon came out. I love it. I think about it when I'm not playing.

    Up Next: More Splatoon!

    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
    10/10

    +Graphics
+Challenging as you want to make it
+Story and side quests are well written

So, I loved this game. I loved The Witcher 2 and this game easily surpasses it. Everything about The Wild Hunt is executed superbly well and there isn't any system in the game that I feel needs tweaked. The single "issue" I have is with the crafting which is slightly clunky.

This is easily my game of the decade so far, I cannot wait for more CD Projekt Red games.

Now I am playing The Elder Scrolls Online and Massive Chalice. Massive Chalice seems like a fantasy version of X-Com and Crusader Kings but without the massive depth of CK2, ESO feels like a terrible version of Skyrim.

I just picked this up for my PS4. I am enjoying it so far, but the tiny text is killing me. I'm having to sit 5 ft away from my 55" TV to play where I can read everything. Other than that I'm about 6 hours game time into the game and only lvl 2 and am doing some side missions getting the courage up to slay the griffin.

    Witcher 3 8/10

I personally liked the story of 2 better than 3. The whole I HAVE TO FIND MY DAUGHTER NOW!!! err wait lets play some cards aspect of the game bothered me. I also disliked the rushed ending of the game and that everyone who mattered to me dropped off the face of the earth. I still have ? left in Skellig, but find 0 motivation to go discover what they are hiding.

I do plan on starting over and doing a DM 100% play through, this time choosing different options, to see how the game ends.

Started up Ziggurat recently. Pretty fun game for what it is (it's Doom mixed with a fantasy roguelike, essentially), good to pick up and play in short spurts.

Haha..well I'm 20 hours in, ALMOST level 4..still haven't done the Griffin mission and spent about 3 hours just playing the card game. I got suckered into playing Poker all the damn time in Red Dead Redemption and the card game in Final Fantasy 8? I think it was..anyway I'm a sucker for in game card games apparently.

You haven't even left White Orchard yet? You're still in the tutorial zone. XD

I should clarify that it took me about 3 hours to get through White Orchard. 20 hours is pretty crazy.

I've been playing Witcher 3 when I can, and when I can't I've been playing Child of Light with the wife. Not much gaming happening in my household lately.

I explored every inch of the first little area, swam around the lakes, killed everything there was to kill, gathered resources to sell and upgrade stuff. Yeah, it was ridiculous, but I'm moving along now. I just finished up finding Hendrick, and got side tracked doing some secondary quest that turned out to be ranked a lot higher than me. Now the map is wide open and I'm having a blast with the game.

A word of warning, do not try to do everything in the game. You will burn yourself out, the game has too much to do.
