Cool windows 7 : pain for some

Everytime I push for a new tab in explorer 8 a message comes up on the screen which says:"WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO NOW". How can I disable this feature? Thanks.

Sounds like some Dell Crapware add-on.

    Install Firefox, problem solved.

Is the message part of the IE display or is it a popup message?

Check the home page for new tabs. Each tab can have it's own home page.

Talking about this I take it? Here's my suggestion: Switch to Chrome or Firefox.

You could also go into the internet explorer options and adjust the behavior when you open a new tab. (First time you open it, it has a little checkbox that by default is checked. That box says "Show this message every time I open a new tab.") Once you've let it do that, only way to correct the issue is in the settings. Not at my Win7 computer, otherwise I'd let you know where to find it.

setting your preferences greatly improves your browsing experience regardless of the browser used.
Keep in mind that many web sites do not work correctly with non-IE browsers, especially auto manufacturer sites.

I have VERY little issue with Firefox.

Chrome? Well, yeah, um, like I said, Firefox works great!

I use both FF and IE. About half the sites I visit on a daily basis do not work with FF, even if I use the IE Tab 2.0 extension. That said, I use FF with ABP for visiting sites with advertising. When I want a site to work the right way all the time and I don't care about advertising, I use IE. Downloading files with IE is easier because the download can restart if it is interrupted. That is something FF doesn't do.

Unless you grab one of Firefox's most popular extensions: DownThemAll.

If IE's downloader is a dandilion in your lawn, FF+DownThemAll is Kimbo Slice with a diesel-powered weed whacker.
