Post The clear winner of this drive review is Seagate's Barracuda ATA IV

so whoever says the baraccuda IV sucks...

    BITE ME

The clear winner of this drive review is Seagate's Barracuda ATA IV. It is a fast hard drive with excellent performance - though it does not reach the maximum data transfer speed of other drives, it is able to sustain high rates throughout the whole medium. In addition, it is the quietest of all 7,200 rpm drives right now.

Well, I don't see IBM in that group, so I don't think you can say undisputed.

But I was impressed by the article.

I am really starting to think that review sites like Toms and CLub OC get paid off sometimes. I am not trying to dispute the performance of the IBM 60 GXP and the Barracuda IV, but i'm wondering why TOm's left off the 60 GXP, the drive that has the best chance to either be close, or beat the Barracuda IV. It is a well known fact that the 60 GXP is faster than the 75 GXP, and the 75 GXP is discontinued. Another reason to read more than 1 review on an item before considering a purchase
