Unless you absolutely need to play something at launch, it's not worth it to buy games immediately anymore. Every game will, without fail, get a $15 price cut within a month of release. That said, this and Xenoblade just got put on hold for me due to Disgaea 4.

Excellent game, only dislike the way energy is handled. You really only need 3 energy bars at most.
Just finished Heng Sha on my second playthrough with the hardest difficulty. Hope I manage to get foxiest of the hounds and pacifist this time.
Oh, and this game really shines in one area. Dialogue during persuasion sequences. The first one isn't a great example.
Simply put, the spirit of Deus Ex is finally appeased. A worthy sequel to cover up invisible war is finally with us. I actually like invisible war though.

If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

Purchased for 360 last night.
Trying to not kill anyone... unfortunately for my brother he doesn't like this style of gameplay and gets bored watching me play.
Will replay again go on a murderous rampage
Just got past the first mission in the warehouse facility.

Help me with my understanding here. In order to do a non-lethal or lethal takedown you have to spend energy which is represented by the batteries under your health. In the first main level (the warehouse) you have two batteries. So you're telling me I can only take down two guys before having to eat an energy replenishing candy bar? If so, that's a pretty lame crutch they force on the player.

The first battery recharges on its own. Also the batteries are used for more than just takedowns. Also you can upgrade that aspect by spending XP. Also you don't need to use takedowns ever.

Oh I know you don't "have" to use takedowns, but I do Makes things much easier when going for no kills. Plus I'm just hardwired to punish someone for not noticing me. Just sneaking past isn't enough. I didn't notice the first one recharges on it's own. Good to know.

There's an achievement for it, so I'm sure you're not. I just stacked things up until I was able to drop it in from above, lol.

I remember there was a basketball hoop in the first game that you could shoot a ball at. IIRC there was a little message that showed up if you made it.

Yup, so did Amazon. Totally caved in and bought it :X
One thing that's even more an enhancement from the original: talking your way through things seriously affects the entire game. In the first one it maybe made you slip past a few things or get some extra goodies or maybe enhance the story but in DX:HR almost every conversation is a game changer. Conversations that end badly will bite you in the *** later down the road unlike in the first one.
That convo aug, GET IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. It's both saved my *** a few times and really made life a lot easier the moment I got it. It's totally worth the two Praxis early on.

Damn I know what I'm upgrading next.
I totally knocked out the bouncer in front of the Hive for being a ****. 1000 credits to get in? F that. I already found the secret way in but it felt satisfying to lay his *** OUT.
