    My 800D Build

Finally got some time to share with you guys my new build. Same components, but new case and fans. I'm collecting some WCing stuff at the moment too. I have about half of the stuff I need to get that going, so I'll update this as I make progress.

The Corsair 800D is by far my favorite case that I have worked with. The install was a breeze and the quality was as expected from a 200+ dollar case. I only wish it had a wheel option because this thing is damn heavy and big.

Monolithic, looks like necron would come out of this thing:

I really like this Lamptron Fancontroller. It matches well and works great.

Look ma! No wires! It was a real treat to install my system on a computer with so much space and great cable management:

Yate Loon fans ready for a radiator:

This thing is screaming for SLI:

Requisite dark shot. I'm planning on an elaborate LED scheme later:

    Lamptron display:

There we go. I have some Watercooling parts right now that include:
    • DDC-1 Pump
    • EK FC470GTX GPU Waterblock
    • EK 250mm Reservoir
    • XSPC Raystorm CPU Waterblock

I still need a radiator, tubing, fittings, and coolant. Can't wait to get this 470 under water. I've seen them overclock to 570 speeds with watercooling!

$240? I didn't think that is too bad, but I keep my cases for 6+ years so its a small investment over that period of time. I know some people that update the case every build. That would get expensive!!!

I just placed an order for the rest of my WC parts!

    From Sidewinder:
13x Bitspower True Silver 3/8 IN, 1/2 OD Comp
    14ft Tygon 3/8-1/2 Tubing
    EX360
    Thermochill EC6 UV Blue
2x Bitspower Shining Silver Seal Plug and clamps
    CCFL Blue light kit

    From Jabtech:
    XSPC 355 acrylic top

I also have a waterblock on order from amazon. I'll provide a build up once I get my goodies.

Nice box. looked at that today, ended up with the Chaser MK 1, from Thermal Take, it was closer to my bugdet, the 800D was 249.00, nice case though I see you have a Corsair cooler is that the 60 or 80 series, I like the Idea of it being closed system.

Damn clean install Timman. Hats off to you.

Did you find you needed different cables to give you the length you needed to route properly?

I was surprised that I didn't need any, although the case did come with extenders for the 8 pin CPU plug but I did not need to use them. I'd like to go crazy sleeving, but I don't really have the time for it right now.

Yea.. That's more then double what I can afford:

APEVIA X-TELSTAR-AL Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower

    I may go with: APEVIA X-JUPITER G-Type X-JUPITERG-BK

as its cheap and has what I need. I'd actually like to get:

    COOLER MASTER HAF 932

but I think it's a tad over my budget. I know they say you get what you paid for but 200+ for a case?

Yes very clean, I just finished my own, not an 800D but it'll work

You should see one in person and work with one to really see the difference. Take for example, the 800D has hot swappable front bays:

This case is massive as well and weighs over 40lbs. Every edge is covered in rubber or nicely rolled. It is just a different class. It is hard to describe without you seeing one.

But seriously, if you think about how much engineering, design, materials, and manufacturing time goes into making a high end case then the 240 doesn't seem too bad.

Silverstone makes some killer cases as well. Check out the RV01, RV02, or RV03 for a lower end Silverstone. Those are really nice.

boxes have come along way. it is true once you start puting it together you start to realize why it cost so much. I noticed that with this Chaser MK1, someone spent alot of time thinking things through
