Need a favor: Download Mac 6.0.5 onto 3.5" floppies

    Ok guys.
I need a favor. I am in need of Mac OS 6.0.5 for an old Apple II.
I found them available here at:

    http://download.info.apple.com/Apple.../System_6.0.x/

However, I don't have a floppy drive anymore... so I am asking if any of you have a 3.5" floppy drive, please help my son by providing this service... I will pay for the disks and the shipping.

    Thanks!

Thank you for that, been looking for that os for a while as I have a macII to sort out at some point ....

I would be happy to do it for you, but an american sharky would be able to do it for far less as shipping from here is a killer ...

    Good luck ....

Getting a USB floppy drive might be easier and more cost effective.

You mean actual floppy drive? I wasn't looking for one...
But if I must, I may just get a USB floppy drive... was hoping to avoid getting one as I will probably never use it again afterwards! >.<

So do you need the actual floppy disks or a drive, or both? I believe I could get a floppy disk from my university, we have tons that are just sitting around and haven't been used in years. Also, I know I have some at my parent's house.

I'm just hoping that someone has access to both floppies & the drive who could load the OS onto them and mail them to me. Of course, I'd give something like $10 for the trouble...

I probably have the floppies as well. I just have to root around for em. These are still avail on newegg too. May be cheaper through them? Also like others have said, why not DL the OS as an img and then put it on a USB stick and run it off of there?

    edit:

oh lol... you wanted someone to put the OS on the floppy for you and mail it to you lol. I thoguht you were looking for the floppy lol. Yea but why not a usb key? They are so cheap and you can reuse em no?

so then you don't want the drive itself or the blank discs?

Nah... I'm hoping I will never see them (floppies) ever again!
I suppose if no one steps up, I'd have to get me a USB floppy...

We have some older computers in the back with a drive. I'll see if I can round up 4 floppies. If I can, I'll do it.

Ok, I found disks and wrote the images. I really have no way to test, but PM me an address and I'll send them to you.
