    Problems with vga

Hello. Below I have listed my components for my new build. Last night I got it all put together and powered it up. Once powered nothing came up on my screen. I then switch to the on board video and I had a screen. I proceeded to install Windows and the nv drivers. I then tried to install the vga drivers and nothing installed due to I guess the pc not finding a video card. There is power getting to the card because the fan on it spins up. I tried to disable the onboard video via BIOS and could not find the option for it. Most of the time it detects it automatically. Any suggestions?

I would pull the card, install onboard properly first, then install the GPU driver.

Sometimes it may be easier for older or troublesome drivers to install in compatibility mode or safe mode.
    Compaq A910em: T2330 dual core 1.6Ghz, X3100 384MB GPU, 160GB sata HDD, 2GB RAM
    Gaming rig: Asus Striker II, Coolermaster GX 750w, E4600 @ 2.4Ghz, 2.5GB RAM, Zerotherm FZ 120, 9500GT 1GB
    Server: Mac mini running W23k Server - 1.8Ghz dual-core, 1GB RAM, 1x80GB, 2x500GB externals + LTO1 tape backup

check bios for vid settings if not done already, set vid to PCI-e instead of onboard...

Also, depending on the MB, there may be an an onboard card or jumper that needs repositioning, I remember my older AsRock having a card that was flipped depending on video config...

    Just some thoughts..
