"Watches You Sleep" Shark
Witcher 2
I thought I night pass this along,
gog.com will be offering the Witcher 2 download DRM-free. Its the full packed deluxe version that includes everything you can get else where plus some extras only for Gog.com
It's the only download offer to do this.
http://www.gog.com/en/page/tw2v3
It also has one of the best extra offers. It includes the digital artwork book and 1 free classic RPG of your choice (DRM-free) out of 5 options.
So if your looking for a place to purchase. FYI.

Speaking of the classic games; which one of these five do you recommend as the free option?
Beyond Divinity
Divine Divinity
Gothic 2: Gold
Realms of Arkania 1+2
Realms of Arkania 3

Awesome.
Divine Divinity is the only one of those I played extensively, so that gets my vote.

Gothic 2 Gold is awesome as well.

Gothic 2 is the best of the series IMO.

This dude is certainly impressed...

When it comes to the game itself, first impressions of course do matter, and The Witcher 2 aims to wow from the second it starts. The very first thing I noticed were the visuals in The Witcher 2 which literally made my jaw drop. It's quite clear that CD Projekt took advantage of the luxuries of PC focused development by creating what I personally believe to be the best looking RPG oriented engine to date.

Game Banshee has a good preview write up with some insight into game play, combat, alchemy etc.. I'm beginning to get fired up for this one.

Been playing Witcher 2 pretty much non stop since Tuesday evening. Its bloody amazing. There were a few difficult patches early on because the combat is alot different than Witcher 1. It focuses alot more on dodging attacks than stringing combos.
Graphics are incredible and it runs surprisingly well on my C2D/GTX260. The soundtrack is very good as well, and I find myself listening to it even when Im not playing. This is my first full price game purchase in quite a long time (well it did have the 10% preorder discount) and Im not regretting 1 penny. Im liking it even more than Witcher 1, which is saying alot.

Technically no, since the game does a general recap.
However, the game has a lot of little things you won't get unless you play the first game and I hear its worth it to play 1 first.

You also get to import your save game from W1 which will in turn affect several things in W2, depending on who you saved and who you killed etc.
Oh and just about done with Chapter 2. Still awesome.

Just finished the game today. Had read a few reviews lamenting the ending, and they were right.
Chapters 1 and 2 were great and had a decent length. So when I finished Chapter 2 this morning and moved into Chapter 3, I thought I still had a few hours of action left. Nope.
I followed the main quest line a bit and POOF, I auto failed a couple side quests I had and moved onto the ending. I couple large battles later and Im face to face with the enemy Ive been chasing all game.
So anyway, great game, ended rather abruptly, but does leave room for Witcher 3 (crosses fingers). Hoping CDprojekt adds enough DLC to warrant a 2nd playthrough.
