EA Origin Popup Adds
This crap is like spam. Start origins... "BTW, we have this game for sale.." Exit BF3... "BTW, BF3 is on origins."
I want to punch EA in their damn throats for this garbage. Does steam have ads? Yes, sometimes, but not every time I interact with it. The only games I buy from EA are Battlefield games and I feel that is going to end after BF3 has run its course.
Also, Steam 100x better then Origin can ever hope to be.

This is 100% true.
But even STEAM has their fair share of pop-up ads. I get a "Wargame: European Escalation" ad every time I exit a game, it seems.

I'll keep my eye out next time I exit a steam game. I don't remember getting ads every time I exited a game and if I do well then screw you too steam.

What you gonna do?!?
Steam definitely has ad's as much as Origin does for me.

Awesome.
I'm pretty sure you can disable Steam's big popup ads by going into Settings - Interface - and unticking "Notify me about..."

Figured I would chime in with the fact that I never get ads in Steam. I must have disabled them long ago.

I don't roll on Shabbos!
I get the "hot deals" pop up when I first start steam, but it is usually a good thing since I can scroll through and see the latest specials pretty easily. I think I joined a stupid group that keeps notifying me about tournaments. That may be what some people are mistaking for steam ads.

Right now.
All PC EA games will be on Origin in a year or two.

Whether you like them or not, the are definitely ads, and expensive ones at that. That inventory is premium.

Origins does not have any such option. I will be turning these off in steam right now.
As for steam, it is set to startup on my machine and yet I don't have any popups. Same startup in origins gets me a random popup everytime.
