Well, basically, Gamestop gave up on their own copy of Valve online platform and decided to jump in with Valve... I personally don't see what the big deal is with that... I hope Origin joins Gamestop soon as well...
Don't like it don't buy it. They won't stock items that don't sell. I personally like it and have no problem with it as I don't like using my CC online.

Its not a problem, it was just surprising to get up this morning to see Gamestop ads on steam
