Arrow Do SSD drives slowdown when near full?

Thinking of upgrading my 3.5 year old laptop to a 128GB Crucial m4 SSD. Currently using ~130GB out of 320, but am gonna reinstall Vista on the new drive. I could probably get by with ~100GB. But will that slow down the drive with it being near full? Should I get a 256GB or hybrid HD instead?
