    3.4GhZ+ CPU Intel

So I'm about to buy a new 1155 quad core but suddenly I'm having a brain fart. The new mobo is: BIOSTAR TZ68K+ LGA 1155 Intel

I am looking for the fastest CPU for $310.00 not a penny more. The i5's and i7's are the two I'm looking for - also a true quad core. No overclocking on my computer at all. So for a maximum budget of 310$, and NO overclocking being done, which CPU would you buy? I'd like to buy it in the next week. I was looking at this one: Intel Core i7-2700K Quad-Core Processor 3.5 GHz

Would I be better off spending my money on another CPU?
