Take a look at the list and post some of the games you are considering.

Well for the most part thats the problem, I don't follow indy news as much as I should so I haven't a clue what is chaff and what is grain.

I'm going to try to wade through the list over the weekend and look up what I can about the games that look interesting. I'll try to post something back here on what I find but I'm going out of town this weekend so Sunday afternoon will probably be the earliest I will do it.

Haven't had too much research time, and a lot of what I've looked into hasn't had great reviews. What is currently on my list as possible pickups -

    Lili: Child of Geos
    Diehard Dungeon
    Outland
    Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory
    No Time to Explain
    Mirrormoon EP
    How to Survive
    Eldritch
    A Wizard's Lizard
    The Moon Sliver
    Collapse

Not much on that list is at all Halloween-ish, though.

I've got a friend that really likes -

    Blackbay Asylum
    Kraven Manor
    Blood of the Werewolf

    ::edit::
Adding some more as I look over the list, some indie, some not.

--Seems like I remember Outlast getting a lot of good reviews.
--The Night of the Rabbit, Sanitarium, and The Whispered World are all good if you're into point-and-click adventures.
--If you have ever liked a typing game in your life then The Typing of the Dead is great. This one isn't as good as the old original version (on Dreamcast, also had a PC release) but it's still a whole lot of fun.
--Van Helsing is a pretty fun Diablo-like. Really like how you start off with a ghost "minion" that stays with you, and you can then spec out both your main character and your minion as being either a tank or a ranged attacker so while there are no "classes" to speak of you still have flexibility in how you want to play (and can switch between melee and ranged at the touch of a key)
--Zombie Driver is tons of fun.
--I hear Murdered: Soul Suspect is good enough if you're into "interactive movie" types of games. Gameplay is a bit clunky and logic is a bit off but the story's good from what I hear. Basically it's like Heavy Rain, or the recent Telltale games (Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, etc.).
--I liked Prototype enough to beat it, which is more than I can say for most AAA action games these days. Not an all time classic or anything but the powers were fun.
--Deadly Premonition is a pretty big cult hit. Go for it if you're into B-movie type games.
