That LCD display is awesome... everytime I see one I get the urge to buy it. If I could plug it into a PC

I agree .. I like your point of view.
People who try to push their opinions down other people's throat's really get on my nerves.

You like macs cause you have used them all your life, they do what you want and you are happy. That is all that matters.

It has an odd "Apple Display Connector" instead of a standard VGA connector.

You are right Apple makes the best displays, but I hate the fact that you can't use them with a PC. But on the subject of OS's OSX looks awesome, and maybe if were lucky more games well start to pour into the mac market. Then I will be able to buy a mac, and play games.

Since OS X is FreeBSD(?) based it should be portable to PC clones, hopefully.

    Red face

WHY DOES EVERYBODY SAY MAC's SUCK?

I'm an avid PC user/enthusiast, but still, i understand that MAC's are right for some people. Mac's do have their advantages. For one thing, Mac has a centralized control over everything, so incompatabilies are NO problem. Neither is accepting New technologies (DID YOU NOTICE HOW QUICK IT ACCEPTED USB AND FIREWIRE??). I'd never buy a mac, but still, i can admire a well set up system when i see one. Plus, they are great for Grafx work and Sound Work.

PS - The Imac Thourogly Disgusts me, FYI. I liek the powermac. Their case is both well set up (internally) and Quite stylish.

MacOS-X is based on Next, which is based on UNIX, which is why it will be so stable(aside from the long awaited memory protection and multiprocessing). my freind is a diehard mac user so i kinda pick up on this stuff...yes the powermac case is damn cool...if only the tornado 1000 was designed like it

personally, the userfreindliness of macs digust me...other than the fact that the architecture isnt "open source" i dont really have a problem with macs, id just rather not use one

    zombor:

Ditto on the diehard friend, but he didn't mention which Unix variant it used. Do know which Unix variant NeXT is based on? By your open source comment does that mean you use linux and not Windows ?
