By its design, you can't. Let me guess: Most of your cards, modems, etc. are using IRQ 9, right?

Try disabling the IRQ steering. Use device manager to disable it.
The system should assign separate IRQs by itself. (hopefully)

Are you having any problems? If you're not, leave it alone! My Voodoo5, NIC, modem, and SB Live! are all on IRQ 9 and I'm not experiencing a single problem because of it.

This is Windows 2000. You can't reassign IRQs.

Damn these MS articles! One article explains how you can't change IRQs. Another article hints at changing "hardware settings" which I guess includes IRQs, but it doesn't give the slightest hint HOW to change them.

I'm assuming you're having a conflict. Go to Device Manager and then right-click on the problem device and select "Properties." Click the Resource tab. Uncheck the box next to "Use automatic settings." Highlight the setting you wish to change and then click "Change Setting..."

If nothing works you might try to put your cards in different slots. Check your mobomanual to see how the irq´s are assigned for the different slots on the mobo. It´s tricky but it may work

    Good luck!

If you want to configure everything yourself, try disabling "Plug and Play OS" in your BIOS. This usually creates more headaches than solutions, though.

Nah, win2k always uses the same irqs for specific things regardless of the slot and the fact that the bios assigns totally different IRQs. I dont understand why they designed it that way.
