Does Aluminum computer cases can Dissipating Heat better than Metal or Steel cases?.

I'm looking at this case right here http://www.colorcase.com/products/ca....html#FEATURES

Aluminium is a better conductor of heat, per se. The real issue is the design of the case regarding space for air circulation and the ease of getting to each of the components without the need to skin your knuckles or remove another component. I'll take a well designed, spacious steel case over a so so aluminum case anytime.

if its just a case, then aluminum won't have much effect on case temperatures. but if you're talking about something like a heatsink, then a more heat conductive metal would go a long long way. something like silver or copper.

    Aluminum IS METAL.
Copper dissipates heat better than Aluminum, Silver and Gold are better than Copper. Just look up the physical characterestics of the metals in any Physics text book.

What did you think alumininum was if not metal, jam maybe?. You shouldn't be trying to cool it by conduction through the case that is crazy, you cool it by convection. Blowing air through the case takes away the hot air and replaces it with cold. To get the heat to go through the case it would need to heat te inside of the case up first.

The CASE material will have a negligable effect on dissipation..

Oh damn, and all these years I thought Aluminium was a metal. You learn new things everyday.

Anyway, an Aluminum case will dissipate heat better only if you have a big oxy-acetylene flame or pyrotechnic explosions inside your comp case. =:O

For regular computers, no it wont make a bit of difference to cooling. Its just a fad that'll suck up money from people willing to burn it.

HAH. I got that YURI case from color case because I wrote a 5 page suggestion. It was free. Anyway I havent tried the case yet, but its REALLY light. It comes with 1 preinstalled fan. Besides you can get a slot cooler. That'll do the job. As for the case. It doesn't do any of the cooling.

I imagine the point of aluminium cases is that they are a lot lighter than steel ones. Although not many people move there pcs round alot. I suppose if you go to lots of LAN parties?
