I have a T-Bird 750 running on an ASUS A7V MoBo with a CoolerMaster AMD approved Heatsink fan (w/ silicon grease)
Iam current at 55C on-line and reach 60 - 65 C when playing games. This is constant if Occ at 1G (100 mhz x 10) or at 750
I have seen that bios version 1002 will help with heating problems. I go to the ASUS download page and only see 1004.X listed for the A7V. There is another bios for MoBo A7V-M that has a bios a7vm1002.zip Is this the correct one? I also can not get the files to download form the ASUS site. Where else could I find this bios?
Make sure there's good contact with the core and HSF. In reality, you probably need a better HSF esp when OC'ing. Good case ventilation doesn't hurt either.

Sir Acceptable_Risk,
1st Order sapasion's OC Knights
I've got the same gig as you but mine runs to 55 deg max.
I use a fop32 with artic silver.
I think you should reapply your thermal grease and get a better hsf.and make sure you apply it right and there is good contact

AMD Thunderbird 750@1000mhz. Copper interconnects and air cooled.
Seen ur TB was only 750mhz and not ready to OC, for the default 1.75v.core and temp should be around 45C+ with A7V bios 1.004x. Make sure u check ur HSF contect the cpu core properly with Thermal Grease /Artic Silver which can get in any electrical Shop nearby.
Give me ur e-mail if u agree i will send the bios which i'm using now to u. Any where, no harm for trying. Maybe it could help in ur case also. Just my little help....
I have to go.........for working. Be back when i'm off my duty.

CPU with OC to max speed i get

T-Bird 1000@1150 /Bios 1.002 /30C idle /47C full load
