I've read several o/c articles and the IBM's seem to be the best at handeling higher PCI speeds.

I've got 2 maxtor drives (latest models) and they've worked just fine at higher speeds. I can't exactly remember what settings, but anyway, they work fine.

My vote would have to go for the IBM as well.

    Cool

seagate drives seem to handle high bus speeds quite nicely as well. that's based on my experience.

I have gone through 2 seagate drives and both failed because of high bus speeds, 115 FSB. Both seemed to fail during defragmenting.

Fujitsu drives are rated one of the fastest IDE/EIDE drives on the market for the money. We loved all the ones we got in when I worked at Computer Renaissance.

Its very possible to reach 1 gig with out violent overclock'n your pci. Why, the PIIIE start with a higher mulitplier so you stay at the lower fbs and pci problems are much less of a issue. Go the other way around, get a good overclock cpu , you'll save your sanity in the end.
