I bought this new panasonic cordless phone at 2.4 gigahertz... well now it has a 120mm sunon growing out of its side and is currently running at 2.8, I hope to hit 3.0 once the watercooling arrives..

edit: I just added a fop38, temps now at a decent 30c while idle and 90c while my wife blabs away on the damn thing...I told her to keep it down to a light chat until I get some better cooling..

    Not counting anything under 800MHz,

    Duron 750@950 (9.5 x 100) (FOP-38)
    Celeron 633@1062 (Intel HS/Delta)
    P3 1GHz EB @ 1.2 GHz (Intel HS/ Fan)
    Thunderbird 1 GHz @ 1.33 GHz (10x133) (FOP-38)

And only one of those is mine. The crappiest one too.

    Cool

Yes I can tell you a story ) only kidding. I bought my first pc 1.5 years ago and it was a PII 400 on Abit BE6. I didn't now about the oc thing for a year but when I was aware of it I read some good articles about it. So I replaced my 64 mb pc100 ram with a 128 pc 133 and it did 533 easily (2.1 V but 62 C !! when the case was closed ) So I added another fan on the hs and applied thermal paste. This way I could do 560 !! @2.1V so easily. I thing I was very lucky because PII 400's usually don't oc .I had 150 fsb after 140 on my BE6 so when I chose 150 it would post but failed during loading windows. I thing it could do 600!! ( making 560 only @2.1V) but I suppose my ram wasn't doing 150.
I sold it a month ago for 50$ and bought a celeron 600 with asus slotket for 60$ from a friend . It did 900@1.75 and 945@1.80 with the intel fan on it. But this week a made someting like this ( http://www.phamcomputer.com/enermax/...sperkit01.html
--but also added a fan on the other end )
of cartoon and some tape. It worked great. Before my temps were like 50-51 and 45-46 (case open) and now it's 40-41C ( all full load temps) (room temp is 25 btw) And it can do 900@1.65V . So that's my oc story

hey can i ask you a quick question about the p3 1000eb - what voltage did you have it at to get 1200 mhz? cause the highest i can get is 1185 mhz (158 X 7.5) and that is at 1.9v. i only have the stock intel hsf but the temps are still below 50. i thought i might be able to get 1200 mhz by upping the vcore to 1.95v but im too scared to fry my chip with that. great oc.

Most of the 700 and 750 can't hit 1GHz according to AthlonOC: http://www.athlonoc.com/stepping3.php

1.95V. I couldn't get any higher no matter what the voltage, the main thing holding me back with that chip was the POS generic PC133 memory, and memory couldn't be set asyncronously.

Don't worry, up until and including 2V should be fine for air cooling, and the heatsink/fan that comes with the P3 1 GHz is pretty good. Extreme maximum (according to Intel) is 2.1V, but I wouldn't go that high.

Well it's my sisters, and I only had it at 1.8V, didn't want to stress it too much. I think it could have gone higher, but I only played around with that system for half an hour. She still doesn't know it's overclocked.

Do not get CUSL2-C tho if you plan to oc to 1.2GHz; it has cold-boot problems.
