    Question Abit Comparisons

I am considering either the Abit KT7A-RAID
    or the ABIT KG7-R w/RAID.

Can someone who is very knowledgable explain the differences?

    Thanks,
    Geek

    Abit KT7A:

    - Only supports PC100/PC133 SDRAM.

    Abit KG7-RAID:

    - Only supports PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

    That's it.

I would wait for the KR-7.

It will use via's next chipset- the KT266A

It is going to be one nice motherboard.

I really don't think anything will come along that will beat it anytime soon.

Of course Epox will also have a KT266A board that you should watch. Could very well be as good/better than the Abit.

Yeah, I think that's better to wait for the KT266A board. It will be faster then KT7A and KG7.

What about the ports? I was told the KT7A has one I ISA slot whereas the KG7-RAID does not.

ISA is a type of socket on the mother board. ISA is extremely slow when compared to AGP sockets.
