    Post GeForce2 GTS vs MX

Getting ready to overhaul my system, but for financial reasons I usually do so one piece at a time. I know the GTS is the way to go in video, but is anyone impressed with the MX (at over a hundred dollars cheaper it looks like a decent alternative.) I'll be using it for my games and DVD playback.

Also, would the MX be much of an upgrade over a Voodoo3 3000?

Yes, the MX is a lot better than a V3. It is sometimes even beating a V5. But for games and especially DVD playback the Radeon is the way to go. You may consider the SDR version which shouldn't be too expensive.
