Question Connecting Laptop to Wired Home Network by Wireless

    Hi

I have the current small network in my home:

Internet -> USB Modem -> Main PC -> Hub -> 2 Other PC's via wired ethernet.

Just to clarify my main PC is connected direct to the USB modem and the other PC's get internet via ICS (all PC's are Win XP).

What i would like to do is connect a laptop to this network via wireless (802.11g 54mb). The laptop will be an Apple MacBook. Can i just add a wireless NIC to the main PC and the laptop and Main PC can talk via wireless just between 2 wireless NIC's. Do i need an access point or can 2 wireless NIC's just talk direct to eachother?

One other question, can a Mac get the internet from my main PC via ICS?

Thanks for any help you can give me

to wifi cards can talk in ad-hoc mode. when you setup a wireless profile you'll see the option for it (may need to hit an advanced button)
If your sig is longer than your post then type more.
