Remote control for your computer?

I have only seen one remote control that is programable, and can be used for playing CDs, DVDs, controling sound and the like... Has anyone had any experience with one of these, and any recommendations? I don't have a TV, so I watch all my DVDs through my computer. I would like to be able to mute, pause, etc. from my couch without using the keyboard.

What i did is bought a cordless keyboard and and a learning remote and set like p for play then pushes p infront of the learning remote and so on and then you have yourself a remote keyboard and a remote control.
