Wow I haven't seen that error in a long time. How old is that game? If I remember correctly share.dll is a windows 3.1 thing. Like I said though, I haven't seen this error in a long time so I could be mistaken.

Sacrifice is brand spankin new. Came out late Nov. early Dec. The game worked ONCE. It worked well. Then, I exited, and when I tried to play the game again, I got the share.dll error. Now, no matter how many times I reinstall it, I get the same error.

What OS are you running?
In any case, this is what I would do.
Do a search for share.dll, If you find it make sure the directory is in path.
Otherwise try uninstalling the game, then reboot and reinstall. (The reboot can be critical for some software in Windows, since some registry setting are not updated until the next boot up.)
Also check for any patches for the game and make sure they are applied and check for any OS patches and make sure they are applied.

is that bad?
Not altogether unexpected. If this is the same share.dll problem I remember from the early Win95 days it should not have been giving you a problem in the first place.
I checked Microsoft's Knowledge base as well as Technet, but I didn't find anything. The search engine MS uses doesn’t handle the . very well.
Try uninstalling the software and doing a clean install. Hopefully this will fix the problem, but you should also look for any patches for the game and check the tech support site for the game to see if there are any known issues.
