Talking Change a file to mp3

I am using RealJukeBox and RealPlayer, but then when I try to play the songs, that I recorded or download as RealJukeBox or RealPlayer, from wimamp or window media player I cannot do it. I guess the songs aren't mp3 files that's why, but I don't know how to change the songs into mp3 files. So could anyone tell me how.

    Thank for your help!

How do you know the files are not MP3 files? Do you get an error message when you try to play them? Real has it's own format for audio and video...you may have saved it in that format. Have you tried playing the files with something else like Winamp?

    Hey Petlor!

I did try to play it with winamp but it didn't work. I say the songs are mp3s because it doesn't work when I try to convert it into waves using the "convert mp3s to waves" program!

    Thank for your help!

Try using a program such as Media Jukebox (or even MusicMatch Jukebox). Their encoders do an excellent job, with MJ being faster than MMJ. Also, you can download converters to encode raw .wav files into any of the current compressed files. Real Audio and Real Jukebox encode in real audio format. I.E. proprietary. (Dum dum DUM, daga dum.)

So you may need to convert back to .wav, or to take less chances with quality loss rip new waves from your originals.

And lighten up on Petlor, he is trying to help you.
