SSI question
Ok I love SSI it is a really great technique to use when makes pages, except for one thing. I mostly use it for including my menus on each page. My question is, how can I change the color/style/image of the button of the page that I am currently on? Maybe some javascript? There just needs to be a way in the SSI include file to detect what page I am on and change the style of that button. Anyone have any ideas?

Well... true, in the start of your original page you set a few variables (maybe in javascript), then, all your server side includes does is to call that color. So your SSI files serve as a template without hardcodng colors.

Can you maybe give me an example of how this would be done? I don't really know jack scrap about javascript.

This would better done with a Server Side scripting language. I make these type of "smart menus" all the time, you simply want your included menu to:
a) Know what page it's on
and
b) Know what it should do if it's on "such & such" a page.
Do you have Perl, Cold Fusion, or PHP at your disposal? If so I can help you write a smart menu.

Yes I can use perl. Have at it!

Cool, e-mail me with some links, and whatever info you can give me, and we'll talk about the best way to attack this.
