I can't get my plextor to burn a audio cd using Easy CD creator 4
My problem is that I can’t burn an audio CD. I am using Easy CD Creator 4.03 and have a plextor 16/10/40A, I create a cd layout then when I click on the create CD it tells me "there are no supported CD-recorders available. Ensure that your CD-Recorder is powered on and that all cables are properly connected. You may also need to update Easy CD Creator to recognize your CD-Recorder." I have the latest OEM of it 4.03. I am using Smart Buy 16x CD-Rs, I know that my burner is working because I have no problem burning data to CDs using same kind of CDs. Is there something in the setup? Please HELP. Thanks in advance Frenzy.

Ensure that your CD-Recorder is powered on and that all cables are properly connected. You may also need to update Easy CD Creator to recognize your CD-Recorder." Please help, has any one with a plextor 16/10/40A had any problems with Easy CD Creator creating a audio CD? Please help this sucks not being able to burn audio CDs.
I would uninstall ECDC and then reinstall it again to see if that helps. Also, do you have the latest firmware for your Plextor? Another thing you might want to do is ditch ECDC for Nero Burning ROM, which can be found at www.ahead.de
You can get a 30 day demo there and try it out. I think once you do, you won't be using ECDC again...
Thanks everyone!! That did it I uninstalled it then reinstalled it and it works like a charm. I think I am going to give nero a try thanks for the link 311_man.
