    foobar2k and AV-710

I just recently got the Chaintech AV-710 sound card. Before this I was using onboard AC97 audio and kernel streaming with foobar2k worked great. Now, with the AV-710 installed, I get a blue screen when I try to play a song with kernel streaming, changing back to direct sound fixes the problem, but sounds bad. Anyone have ideas on what could be causing this?

Also, does anyone know where I can get the latest drivers for this card? The ones on the Chaintech site are very old.

Also, I always use the drivers from Via Arena - which I think is www.viaarena.com

Good luck with that. The Envy chipset is really good...and there's no chance of a hardware incompatibility or software bloat either. I'd advise you that there's likely something more important you could spend the $ differential on between an AV-710 and a A2ZS...like...anything.
