Talking Dell Laptop Ordered (everything look okay?)

Alright this will be my first lappy hehe, pretty excited.

Here is a screen shot I took after the order was placed... LMK what you all think of the parts and the price.

    I think I may sell the HD and get a 48gb 5400rpm one instead for $200 (Dell wants 20 to 40gb 5400rpm $249).

Looks good Good choice on the DVD/CD-RW and the best graphics card. I see what you are saying about the HD...249 is alot. What you gonna be using this for?

    edit: you're almost at 5K...

I guess I will be using it for many different tasks. In a nutshell it will be used for college, fun and play. To take it to college (want to record classroom lectures, etc heh) and be able to than go with it to the library to do work/research just sounds too much fun to pass up.

5k mark... Yep almost there, took me a while, thanks bro.

There ya go congrats on 5K!

I got a laptop for college too, and to tell you the truth it wasn't enough for me. I built my own system at college and gave the laptop to my parents. It's a pain to carry it around (well mine was heavy, that may be why ) but I guess if you are going to do that it is worth it.

Wow, that laptop is actually better than the computer I currently use! Enjoy that thing.

Oh and congrats on Great White Shark. I'm guessing that's a new rank.

Everybody on the laptop forums on http://support.dell.com reccomends you get the 3 year. I would agree with them. It only takes one repair under warrenty to pay for it.

    Thanks guys.

Well the reason I didn't get any extended warranties is because I will probably switch out the HD for another, sell a stick of RAM and get another... That sort of thing, so unless the mobo/cpu or the screen breaks I don't think I'll need it. Besides I'll probably sell it within 2 years anyways.
