new text doc and tray icon seem odd

    hey all.
    happy holidays.

    a question.

one. i have open office installed, and until about a week ago, everything was fine. now, when i right click on the desktop, then click new, then your supposed to have an array of new things to open up....well, new notepad doc isnt available anymore. it was fine with open office installed before. i dont know where it went. all i can choose now is a new OO doc.

two. in the system tray, at the bottom right corner, the wifi icon thats next to the volume icon, well, the small titty bitty globe that is usually there when you have internet, it comes and goes, but i always have internet. its been doing that more and more lately. its there right now, but i bet later it will be gone, and i will just be left with two small computers. what ya think?

i included a screen shot for question one. you will see that i can not select a new notepad document, which is always there normally, am i correct?

    thanks everyone. happy thanksgiving!!

Open Office made an Executive decision for you to use its Doc capacity.

There are few ways to control the Right click menu.

This free program makes it easy, http://lifehacker.com/302982/customi...th-shellexview
