writing 12x blanks at 16x, safe? sorry, last one stuffed up
i have a 16x sony cd writer. Some 12x blank cds, like ricoh 12x, when used in nero it lets me burn them at 16x. is it reliable and safe copying 12x cds at 16x?

It all depends on the quality of cd. Some cds that are rated at 12X might only write at 12X, not any higher. I have sucessfully written 8X cds at 16X, so you should be fine.

Nero is actually an incredibly reliable program to figure out what speed you can burn at on any given CD. Kudos to the guys that designed that program.
