    I'm pretty sure it was confirmed a while ago. Its being done by Raven (not id) and they're using a modified version of the Doom3 engine, so it will ship after Doom 3.

    It was confirmed long time ago, as far as I can remember, about the same confirmed Doom3.

    As said earlier in this thread, it's made by Raven Software, not iD, but doesn't use modified Doom3 engine..
    Okay, of course they modify it bit for it to fit their game, as Raven always does, but it's not nearly as modified as JK2 & SoF2 are from the Q3TA engine.

    I expect Q4 at least a few months after D3. I don't think ID would let a product launch so quickly that might cut into their own profits. It's not like there's any separation of Doom fans vs Quake fans. The title Doom or Quake can be used interchangably with whatever product they're bringing out at the time. It would make sense for them to hold off on Quake until everybody has money in their pockets again.

    I'm pretty sure they announced it LAST year.

    Like the boys said, Raven is doing it, I think they made the Quake 2 expansions.

    JKII left me rather disappointed. I'm not expecting much from their Quake game. As far as I'm concerned Doom 3 = Quake 4 = Doom 3.
