LOL nice mod, but the question is, was it really worth it?
    Kickass mod nonetheless

kind of a waste, don't you think?

also, i'd worry about the weight of the cooler warping the PCB.

    [edit]
as for taking webcam pics, i found that my webcam takes much better quality shots once i got one of those "Energy Saver" 15-20w fluorescent/halogen/whatever bulbs for my lamp. webcam CCD's seem to react the best to pure white light or direct sunlight, as opposed to incandescents (which put off warmer, yellower light).

well don't you think you could've sold some of those things and maybe bought a cheap gf2 mx or something? that's what i would've done instead of modding some old school video card IMHO

I think it's fun(ny) to do it to one of the real old cards. That way, if you do screw something up, oh well.. just toss it into a box. The pre-mentioned conditions are if you have these parts just laying around.. like most of us tend to do after we're a computer nerd for a while.
Until I get my CoolIT chiller, DDR3, and video cards for my 790 3 way SLI mobo...

It doesn't look like it would do too much damage to me, but I'm not 100% sure on it's exact weight.

See if you can get some half-decent Ghetto RAMSinks on there (like what Japin mentioned), you just might be able to get a little further
