    That's what I hear. I got the first one and I loved it. One of the best GBA games, nay, one of the best/most fun strategy games I've ever played. I should really pick up AW2
    The Sweetness:
    * Intel Pentium 4 2.4C @ 2.88 (12x240)
    * ABIT IC7 w/1GB PC3500 DDR
    * SLK 900-U w/Vantec Thermoflow 92x25mm Fan
    * Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro (440/370)
    * Raidmax Black Mid P4 350W ATX Case

    Whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Not lifting weights doesn't kill me. Therefore not lifting weights makes me stronger.

    Just picked it up today. Much remains the same. They used "if it ain't broke don't fix it" But So far the story and involment seems better. Everything feels fresh. Only one new unit tho I report back later with more impressions

    Initially i thought it was a polished version of the first advance wars but when i got to the mid teens and 20's missions, the campaign is totally different than the first AW in terms of goals. Its a lot more strategic to move in the maps now with these giant cannons/pipes/factory, unlike the first game where as long as you had backup you could advance without a scratch, slowly but still meeting the goals. In AW2 you have no choice to sacrifice some stuffs, like one of the mission i did, i conquered a lot of cities to get initial cash but soon after i realized the only way to beat the map is to destroy a pipe with destroyers, but damn it didnt make it easy, by the time i won the enemy was already caping my base, it truely felt like i was surviving and not the other way around like in AW.

    The maps are also brilliantly designed, even more so than AW, imo.

    Anyway, AW2 so far is my GOTY and i have doubts something will top it off.. maybe Fire Emblem will since its the same system as AW and from the same creators, except its an SRPG.

    Its cocaine, heroin, coffee, with a 1L injection of adrenaline inside one game

    There's this one fricken awesome vs. map (the only one I've played so far), its the smallest one, but there are a lot of strategically placed trees that make a 2 player game INSANE with fog!!!

    The excellence of that one extra unit, the sweet campaign additions, and just the sheer number of new excellent maps make the game fantastic.
