the demo is fantastic. i like the improvements over the original.

still, it's not a game that i absolutely need. the original had very low replay value, but this one has MP, so...

i hate the damn graphics engine and use of DX9 effects. the aliasing in night vision is absolutely horrendous. they need to fix this, but they can't. that's the nature of DX9 for you.

maybe you can play it with the effects disabled, no?

i have the same problem with aliasing and DX9 effects in NFS:U. that's why i don't use the blur effect.

I think the NVG anti-aliasing is on purpose. It might simulate the fact that your vision isn't at its peak when you're using NVGs.

On the topic of the game, it's great! I haven't played it too awful much yet, but from what I have played it's fantastic. I'll try to get this soon.

Dude, I havent even beat the first one! Is it me or is it a little difficult than your normal game.
I'm trying to free your mind Neo, but I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.

i don't think it's on purpose because even without NVGs, there is severe aliasing. I can't even force the anti-aliasing settings. i think the effects layer is actually permanent, just like Prince of Persia.

Really? I had it set at 4x AA and AF and it looked and ran decently. I could definitely see the aliasing in night-vision, but without it I thought it looked better than the first. Well, if this turns out to be a problem then Ubisoft will be hurting in sales. But like I said, I didn't see any problems so I'm all for this.

And speaking of Prince of Persia, anyone notice the PoP magazines all over the train (they're pretty hard to miss)? Oh, and if anyone knows, are those Japanese magazines real? What publication are they?

It can be quite challenging at moments, however it was not unbearable. There are times when you needed to time things without much room for error. That is when the quick-save and quick-load feature came in very handy.

I don't think it was too bad, but I heard the console versions were very hard, and I would probably agree if I ever played them. It would be more difficult to aim accurately and as fast with a game controller, in my opinion.
