    Which has better performance: A64 3400 or A64 3500?

In terms of better gaming performance, can a 754 3400(Newcastle or Clawhammer) keep up with a 939 90nm 3500?

I understand the differences between 754 and 939 and the whole upgradability path issue, but I just want to know whether one CPU would dominate the other in terms of raw performance.

    I don't think there was much of a difference from the 754 3400 and the 130nm 3500.

Well, they normally are a give and take situation. Depends on the program used, depends on the L2 cache utilization of that program, depends on the RAM bandwith the program needs...

Depending on the app, but they are pretty close. I would take 3500 winchester B/C of upgraded path and its a newer core so it might O/C better.
