Abit KT7-RAID power on problem
I have the mentioned MB paired with a Tbird 900.
I'm having a very irritating problem that can't be good for my hardware.
Whenver I first power on my system... the system turms on, but then nothing happens (no signal to monitor... drive light remains on). I then need to pull out the power connector wait a bit.. reattachit and then power on the system once again before I get a signal to the monitor and the system boots.
This constant pulling power while the system can't be good for the components. Not to mention how annoying this ritual has become.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I used to have a similar problem. I'd turn off my system and then the power going to the computer and the screen.
When later I turned it back on, I had to do the same thing you do.
Solution: I only shut down my system and don't turn the electricity off anymore.
Maybe something you could try?

I've had this. With me, it was because my CPU speed was set incorrectly in the BIOS, even though it looked right when it posted. Go into the BIOS, set the CPU speed to User Define and set the multiplier to the right setting. Then try it again. There is a para about this in the manual round about the CPU speed multiplier bit.

I've had this problem too. I have a KT7 (non-RAID) and a 1 GHz Athlon. After using my computer for a while, then turning it off, I can't turn it back on. I have to disconnect all my power cables, turn off power, plug everything in, then I can turn it on.
