Man the Xbox360 addon prices are annoying...
At first I agreed that the x360 was a better value because it didnt have anything built in and thus was cheaper than the ps3... but now that im getting the wifi addon and the HD-DVD addon, the x360 costs alot more than the 60gb PS3, which I think is ridiculous. i mean jeez the $250 wii has wifi built in why the hell is it a $120 accesory for the 360?
i mean, isnt that the whole point of the premium bundle? so that i wouldnt have to waste $$ on all these addons? if thats the case i would rather pay $600 for an platinum whatever bundle that has everything built in like the ps3

What you gonna do?!?
Then sell your 360 and buy a PS3, I didn't realize you needed the wi-fi to play games.

I'll agree with you there, it not coming with it is irritating but you also knew that it wasn't there when you bought it and should have known that it would be relatively expensive to buy. I don't see what the fuss is about honestly.

Don't buy the official wireless adapter, it's a rip-off. You can snag a wireless adapter for around $20 on NewEgg.

No, you need something like this. They had a Linksys version that was $20, but I'm not finding it at the moment.

because i was expecting it to be like a $30-60 add-on, not a $120 addon.. i originally bought the 360 with the expectation that it would be cheaper than the ps3 with similar specs

Yea, the controllers are like $50 too, games $60, HD-DVD Drive ?~$160-200~?, HD for games (if core is bought) $150. That seems like a LOT of money to me. +The battery/charger packs for like $30-40. Wow, I guess PC gaming and console gaming are coming close in price range....

I've heard about that, which model did you get? Also, is there a lot of lag using wifi to play online, how far away is the bridge from the router? My friend has his 360 located in his basement and the wireless router is on his 2nd floor so we're wondering how well it would work

lol, not quite yet my friend. $700 for a 8800GTX, $250 for a Mobo, $400 for the processor, $200 for the ram, $80 for the case, $100 for the sound card, $20 for a DVD drive, $80 for a HDD, $80 for a PSU, $300 for a monitor, $250 for speakers. $2460.
You could buy a HDTV bigger than the computer monitor, the console, and all the accessories you need and still have money left over to go out and buy a cheeseburger at Burger King.

NO NO NO, you need at least a $200 dollar case and minimum $130 for PSU and don't forget that your keyboard, mouse, case and speakers can last 10 years, over several upgrades.
