Massive Vista Price Cut In Chinese Market....

    http://www.techshout.com/software/20...l-with-piracy/

    From article:

Microsoft has cut the price of the Windows Vista operating system software package by more than half in China.

The company’s Windows Vista Home Basic software has got itself a price cut to 499 yuan ($66) from 1521 yuan, while the price of its Premium package has been slashed from 1802 yuan to 899 yuan.
When will Americans see this price cut????

899 yuan is around 120 bucks now.

It makes sense with all the massive boot legging that goes on there. I believe DVD prices were also slashed for the same reasons.

When you want to compare across countries in this manner it is more reasonable to ask how much a person in the USA has to work as oppose to his counter part else where.

Even after this price slash a regular person in china has to work much longer than an average person in the USA to be able to purchase the software.
